I've yet to read Marilynne Robinson's latest novel Home....[hangs head in shame]....but I have a new reason to get going on it:
Winner of the 2009 Orange Prize for Fiction
Marilynne Robinson isn't a native Iowan but we claim her as Iowan by right of residence. She teaches at the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop, she's my boss's neighbor, and we all frequent the same yarn shop (if you're ever in Iowa City and need yarn, go see Edie at The Knitting Shoppe on Muscative Ave). Represent!
Now if only I could remember in which stack I put my copy of Home....it's in my office somewhere.
